New collective agreement for COPE Local 343 members at the Council of Ministers of Education (CMEC)!
54 members are covered by this deal, ratified on August 4, 2026. Here’s what they won:
– 3% wage increase, retroactive to January 1, 2026
– 2.25% wage increase effective April 1, 2027
– 5.6% wage grid increase
– A new Continuing Education Fund for 10 members a year
– Severance coverage under the ESA for members with under 5 years of service
– AI in the workplace is now a standing item at Joint Labour Relations Committee meetings
