COPE Local 343 members at CUPE Local 79 have ratified a new collective agreement running from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2028.

The deal includes wage increases of 3.95% in 2025, 3.9% in 2026, 3.8% in 2027 and 3% in 2028. It also brings new work from home language recognizing work/life balance, adds the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a paid day of observance, improves the parental leave top up to 93%, strengthens bereavement leave, and establishes a new Benefits Review Committee to explore ways to enhance and improve benefits.
