Mary Stalteri, COPE Staff Representative

Mary Stalteri has been involved in the labour movement since 1975 when she was hired by the Laborers’ International Union of North America, Ontario District Council. She became an activist during her tenure at LIUNA Ontario District Council and since 1978 has been employed with the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada (CEP). A labour activist and passionate worker advocate, Mary holds the position of Chief Steward for her unit and has been on the CEP/COPE negotiating committee for over 15 years. She has held the position of Recording Secretary for the Local 343 Executive since 2003. Mary is currently on a secondment from CEP to COPE Ontario in the position of Staff Representative.
